5kg compressed brick expands to approximately 75L of ready-to-use coco peat substrate. Buffered to remove the calcium lockout problem.

Key parameters:

  • Ca:K ratio ≥ 2:1
  • EC ≤ 0.50 mS/cm
  • pH 5.5–6.5

How to use:

  1. Hydrate the brick: Place in a large tub or bucket. Slowly pour 10–15 litres of water evenly over the brick.
  2. Allow to expand: Leave for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally. The brick expands to approximately 75L.
  3. Break up and mix: Use a trowel or hands to break up any lumps until you have an even, crumbly texture.
  4. Use straight for hydroponic drain-to-waste systems, seedling propagation trays, or clone plugs — no pre-flushing needed.
  5. Blend for containers and beds: Mix 50/50 with compost, or use 40% coco / 40% compost / 20% perlite for containers, raised beds, and mixed growing systems.

Tip: pH is pre-set to 5.5–6.5 and calcium-buffered to Ca:K ≥ 2:1 — ready to use straight from the bag.
